GiantGamers is built to be enjoyed without creating an account on the public site. This policy explains the limited technical information used to keep it secure and reliable.
The public GiantGamers site does not ask you to create an account, submit a profile, or connect a Twitch account. When you visit, the web server may record standard request details such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and the date and time of the request.
This technical information is used to deliver pages, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the site. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
The Laravel framework sets an XSRF-TOKEN cookie and a giantgamers-session cookie for request protection and basic session handling. They are first-party, secure, SameSite=Lax cookies and typically expire after about two hours.
GiantGamers.com does not currently place advertising, analytics, or newsletter-tracking cookies. See the Cookie Notice for more detail.
Approved streamer status is retrieved and cached by the GiantGamers server. Visitors do not need to sign in to Twitch. When a streamer is live, a Twitch-hosted preview image may load in your browser, which lets Twitch receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser details.
Links to Twitch and the GiantGamers forum take you to separate services. Their own privacy notices and account practices apply after you visit them.
Technical logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, and service operation. You can control cookies through your browser, though blocking essential cookies may affect request protection or future interactive features.
