The public site uses two short-lived first-party cookies for security and session handling. It does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
XSRF-TOKEN supports protection against forged cross-site requests. giantgamers-session stores the temporary session identifier used by the Laravel application. The session cookie is marked HttpOnly so browser scripts cannot read it.
Both cookies are sent only over secure connections, use SameSite=Lax protection, apply across GiantGamers.com, and currently have a lifetime of about two hours.
GiantGamers.com does not currently set advertising, audience-profiling, newsletter, or first-party analytics cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because the public site is limited to essential framework cookies.
If optional analytics or marketing technology is added later, this notice and any required choices will be updated before that technology is treated as part of the normal site experience.
The GiantGamers forum and Twitch are separate services. They may set their own cookies when you visit, sign in, watch a stream, or use their features. Review the notices on those services for their current practices.
A Twitch-hosted preview or embedded player may be requested by your browser on live and streamer-profile pages. Twitch may apply its own cookies or local storage to provide the player even if you do not open Twitch in a separate tab.
Most browsers let you view, remove, or block cookies in their privacy settings. Blocking the essential cookies may affect request protection or future interactive parts of GiantGamers.com, but the main public content is intended to remain broadly accessible.
